This 1971 DeTomaso Pantera is a modified example that was acquired as a disassembled project by the seller in 2004. Subsequent work is said to have included a  repaint in white with blue stripes, as well as the installation of front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and fender flares. Power comes from a four-bolt Ford Cleveland V8 that was reportedly bored to 383ci and fitted with a SCAT crankshaft, forged pistons, Comp camshaft, AirFlow Dynamics cylinder heads, a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, and more. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transaxle, and additional features include Wilwood brakes, air conditioning, an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, shaved door handles, and fixed headlights. This Pantera is now being offered with a clean Minnesota title in the seller’s name.

Group IV fender flares and side skirts from Hall Pantera were reportedly welded to the body, and a removable fiberglass front spoiler was added. Additional modifications include a rear wing from a 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, a vented hood, side scoops, and fixed headlights in place of the stock pop-up units. The door handles were shaved, the fuel filler was relocated to the right front fender, and the car was repainted white with blue stripes. The seller notes a crack in the front spoiler, a paint chip on the roof, and a paint bubble at the front of the engine cover.

Aftermarket 15” white-painted wheels are wrapped in Dunlop GT Qualifier tires sized 225/50 in front and 295/50 out back. Braking is handled by Wilwood calipers and rotors.

The cabin is trimmed in black and features fixed-back bucket racing-style seats with RCI four-point harnesses. Amenities include air conditioning and a Pioneer CD stereo mounted in the passenger side of the dashboard.

An aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel fronts AutoMeter gauges consisting of a 200-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer. The odometer shows 311 miles, all of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The four-bolt Ford Cleveland V8 was installed by the seller and reportedly bored to 383ci. Features include a SCAT forged crankshaft, forged pistons, H-beam rods, Ford Racing rockers, AirFlow Dynamics cylinder heads, MSD ignition, a Parker Racing Funnelweb intake manifold, a ceramic-coated Hall Pantera exhaust, and a Comp roller camshaft, lifters, pushrods, and valve springs. An oil change was completed earlier this year, and results from a 2004 dyno test are viewable in the gallery.

The front compartment houses a custom fuel tank and an aluminum radiator.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transaxle, and additional underbody images can be seen in the gallery. A video tour has been provided by the seller and is viewable below.
